Job Placement Services
What is Job Placement Services?
Job Placement services are available for employable persons with a disability who require assistance to find and maintain employment. The services are free to all eligible persons. To be eligible, an individual must:
- Have a disability
- Be currently unemployed or underemployed
- Be willing to actively look for work
Job Placement Specialists will assist individuals with:
- Assessing job-ready skills
- Resume development
- Creation of directed cover letters
- Interview preparation
- Labour market research and exploring the hidden job market
- Job search strategies
- Direct marketing to potential employers as required
- Negotiation of wage subsidies
- Exploring educational options
Services in Langley and Surrey campuses are funded in whole or part through the Canada-British Columbia Labour Market Development Agreement. For these locations, both community members and Kwantlen Polytechnic University students are eligible to apply.
