There is only one Centre for Design & Communications, which is located at the Richmond Campus. The Centre offers six different programs.

Fashion Design & Technology
Kwantlen’s Bachelor of Applied Design in Fashion Design and Technology program prepares students for careers in the global apparel economy in fashion design, production, marketing and computer technology. This dynamic program features comprehensive industry-based education and training using leading-edge technology; class projects facilitated by prominent apparel companies such as lululemon athletica; and an extensive internship that results in employment. With over 300 apparel companies in the Lower Mainland, Kwantlen provides the work force for the diversified careers offered by a vibrant BC fashion industry. [more...]

Graphic Design for Marketing
This three year diploma, four year degree program will provide students with knowledge, skills, and abilities from learning domains as diverse as graphic design process, marketing, public relations, and business; media, technology, and production; conceptual development and image development; and an understanding of the social, cultural, and historical context for graphic design. Interdisciplinary Design
This one year certificate program assists students in preparing for entry into specialized design-related studies and other discipline areas through exploration, self-diagnosis, and fundamental skill development. [more...]

Interior Design
This four year FIDER accredited program is for students wishing to pursue a professional career related to built environments. Emphasis on experience and skills in theory, research, critical analysis, problem-solving, design concepts, working drawings and specifications, technology, presentation media techniques, professional business practices and procedures, and awareness of human needs in built environments. Journalism
Both a four year Bachelor of Applied Journalism degree and a two-year Diploma in Journalism contain broad academic knowledge with strong, practical training through seminars, labs, and off-campus work experiences. The Journalism program prepares graduates for positions as reporters, photographers, editors, researchers, and freelancers for print publications, as well as for work in a variety of capacities with Web-based media. Public Relations
This two year Public Relations Diploma Program offers work experience coupled with actual client projects, to provide students with the necessary skills to succeed in today?s business environment.
