Eagles Athletics is an integral part of the student experience at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Our mission is to recruit elite student-athletes who possess strong athletic, academic and leadership skills. We are committed to the overall development of our athletes and value integrity, teamwork, respect and sportsmanship.
In our brief 10 year history, seven individual athletes and one varsity team has represented the Eagles at CCAA National Championships:
2006, Kristina Sutherland-Golf;
2007, Grace Whang-Badminton;
2008, Michael Lawrence-Golf;
2010, Leah Rihela/Jensen Ly/Michelle Simard/Ashley Jang-Badminton.
In 2009, the Women's Soccer team achieved a milestone accomplishment for the Eagles, winning the BCCAA Provincial Soccer Championships, and placing 3rd at the CCAA National Soccer Championships.
Our athletic facilities are located at the Surrey campus and include an artificial turf field (Newton Athletic Park), gymnasium and a fully equipt Fitness Centre.

Eligibility
The Eagles compete in four sports: basketball, badminton, soccer and golf, as a member of the British Columbia Colleges' Athletic Association (BCCAA). As members of the BCCAA, student-athletes are eligible to compete for five years. For more information on BCCAA eligibility, review Article 12-Eligibility Regulations from the BCCAA website. Athletic Scholarships
Kwantlen Polytechnic University provides approximately $130,000 in annual athletics scholarship to student-athletes who are selected to an Eagles varsity team and who have demonstrated athletic and academic achievement in basketball, soccer, badminton and golf.

Peer Tutoring
Kwantlen Polytechnic University offers one-on-one or group peer tutoring to help support academic success. If you want help understanding your assignments, if you want some one-to-one or small group tutoring, or if you'd like some advice on effective study skills and learning strategies, you can find the help you need at Kwantlen's Learning Centres.
