Laurie Phipps

Laurie completed a B.A. in Economics (business minor) from Simon Fraser University (SFU) in 1992 and then an M.A. in Economics from Queen's University, Kingston (QUEENSU) in 1993. From 1995 to the end of 2007, Laurie was full-time continuing faculty at Camosun College in Victoria, British Columbia teaching mainly introduction to economics, principles of economics, money & banking, as well as some quantitative methods and business math courses. More recently, Laurie completed an M.A. in Distributed Learning from Royal Roads University (RRU) in 2003. In August, 2007, he moved back to Vancouver (he was born here) with his wife (she wasn't) and started work on a PhD in Educational Technology and Learning Design at Simon Fraser University (SFU). In January 2008, Laurie began teaching in the Department of Economics at Kwantlen Polytechnic University and celebrated the publishing of a Principles of Economics text on which he is a co-author.
