Kwantlen Alumni Ambassadorial Team

PAT

The Kwantlen Alumni Ambassadorial Team, or K.A.A.T., program is a new initiative by the Alumni Association that will provide graduates with an opportunity to volunteer for and give back to their alma mater. A similar program for students was initiated by the President's Office several years ago with tremendous success.

Outstanding graduates will work directly with the Alumni and President's Offices to publicly represent Kwantlen Polytechnic University in the communities that we serve. Members of the team attend Kwantlen and community events and functions, assist with recruiting efforts, and represent Kwantlen Polytechnic University as an extension of the Office of the President.

The K.A.A.T members are graduates who also demonstrate the following characteristics:

  • The ability to lead others
  • The ability to work collaboratively with other team members
  • A sincere interest in positively representing and promoting Kwantlen in the community
  • An interest in public speaking
  • An interest in community advocacy and volunteerism
  • The ability to commit an average of twenty-five hours per year in volunteer time

Membership on the K.A.A.T is a voluntary position. However, members receive the following benefits:

  • Public speaking and community advocacy training
  • Opportunity to attend and network at a variety of high profile community events with paid costs
  • A letter of reference from the President attesting to K.A.A.T. membership and performance
  • Personalized business cards
