Mathematics
Mathematics is the study of quantity, structure, space, and change. Mathematicians seek out patterns, and formulate new conjectures. Mathematicians resolve the truth or falsity of conjectures by mathematical proofs, which are arguments sufficient to convince other mathematicians of their validity.
The Kwantlen Mathematics Department offers courses from high school grade 11 level through to fourth year university level, while Qualifying Studies offers preparatory math courses. The Mathematics Department offers a B.A. Minor in Mathematics, an Associate of Science degree, and are developing a Mathematics major. Students can also take courses at Kwantlen and transfer to other institutions.
