Alex Popovich has been teaching at Kwantlen Polytechnic University since 1990. His main teaching areas include Europe from the renaissance to the present; modern Russia; and the history of warfare. His graduate studies at McMaster University in Hamilton (MA) and York University in Toronto (ABD) focused on modern Europe with specialization in Russian diplomatic and political history. Since then his interests have shifted to the study of Yugoslavia, from where he originates.
